Brindy is amazing and totally deserves the win.
I am so flabbergasted that Trotz got just a single 3rd place vote. Brindy is a great coach, and I wholeheartedly think he is the guy for our team. But I think Trotz has proven more as a coach. The Isles are my #1 example of a team "overachieving" from their roster. It's not that Brindy doesn't deserve it, but I am really surprised Trotz isn't in the top 5 or 10.

Isles were really bad late in the year, I think that regency bias hurt him as well as his history of already winning it a couple times. The Quinn votes just make no f***ing sense at all.

I don't dislike the guy, but it does make me cringe a bit that he's becoming a popular hockey personality, when he has about as much charisma as a can of eggshell alabaster latex paint.

His channel is an interesting case of “I will literally read the homework to you, so you don’t have to look it up”.
I have a feeling he could do a 3 minute video with as much actual insight as the 10-20 minute ones he makes. But that would assume people already know something about the team he’s talking about, and most fans don’t know squat about 80% of the league. So he stands there and reads stats and it’s actually pretty successful.
This is also why we get bad intermission analysis on the national games.

This is why I don’t watch more of his stuff. Occasionally I’ve put on his game reviews or whatever he calls them after the Canes play, hoping to get an outsiders perspective on something that happened during the game, and instead of any providing any kind of insight, it just feels like he’s reading off the box score, which I can do very easily on my own.
