Oh boy, this one sounds ugly. Im glad I denied to go to the game next Friday with my brother.

They had some guys show the hell up last year in the playoffs + Krebs coming back down provided a big spark for the first few series until he started struggling a bit in the final series.

Oh well, Kulich is a massive loss. It sucks they seem to have relied so much of their success on an 18 year olds shoulders. Props to the kid, though. It sounds like he's played great.

It was putting the offense in the hands of a bunch of pluggers and complimentary players at the start of the year. Their key guys are small and that means they wind up taking a lot of abuse - Biro's brittle and has been out regularly, so too has Kozak - and they don't really have anyone to scare anyone into not playing them that way. I'm sure someone (Appert) is going to talk about their injury issues again, but they've had weeks to try to fix some of their roster issues and didn't.

Really disappointed in Murray these two games so far. They need him to apply that beef to people and he's doing his usual thing as a sleeping giant.

Confirms that Biro is done for the year after surgery.
Kulich is practicing in a regular jersey, probable (still).

Appert speaks to his assistants.

High praise for Kozak and his development. Peca has said "you never fight the guy who doesn't say anything" and Kozak apparently is one of those.

Speaks to Kulich's growth to get to the inside and retrieve the puck. Appert points out that Kulich understands he needs to be better defensively and the lapses need to go away.

Kozak continues to intrigue me. Does he fight for a spot on the big team in another year?

Reckon not, but being in the position to make moves like flipping Dawe to open a spot for Varada are a strong possibility in the next few years.

Appert press conference after this morning's skate.

Still says Kulich is probable, "feels better today than yesterday" about Jiri playing which isn't really much news.

Kozak moving up the lineup. Curious where that is going to go but he's going to be "playing wing tonight".

Kulich is back.
