I had some serious doubts about Appert and their personnel both last year and this... but by the end of the season they have an identity and they play to it. How they have the team defending most of the time has been revelatory and doing this with some serious questions at center has been remarkably satisfying. And they are getting their goals - them playing responsibly isn't taking away from their finishing.

Getting those quick goals really allowed the Amerks to dictate the pace. It really was the ideal start, but it's not going to come that easy all series. Their starting goalie did not have his 'A' game tonight.

That lineup absolutely smoked Hershey last night. I doubt Appert messes that much with the lineup, put Savoie on the 2nd line in his debut, and change up three of the four forward lines.

Yes, I did observe. We know Savoie is going in. Try your hand at some lines.

Still have a hard time accepting "spilt" as a real word but here we are.

*quick internet search follows...

Spilt was the older usage? Heh. Interesting.
Its fun to watch the machine they’ve become in the playoffs.

And that they seem to be having so damn much fun doing it too. Crazy stuff. It's certainly enjoyable to be along for the ride.

I know it's probably a long-shot, but what do we think the odds are that Savoie debuts on Thursday? I'm completely biased as I'm going to the game and would love to catch his pro debut, though I doubt it'll happen.
