Strong is my personal impression having watched all the games thus far. I feel like he's only let in one clunker (late in the Syracuse game IIRC) and has been left out to dry too much because of the way the whole team plays. For example Clague forked over a couple of prime chances to the other team - hitting the tape of someone in stride right in the slot is just so infuriating.
As long as he can stay healthy. That's actually a great pickup. Davidson is the sort of stout defensive d-man they were lacking.

Winners: Jason Payne and Joel Martin
The ECHL made history this week when coach Jason Payne and the Cincinnati Cyclones met coach Joel Martin and the Kalamazoo Wings. It's believed to be the first time in North American men's pro hockey that two Black coaches faced each other in a game.
"The kids get to see players of color and say, 'I can be that player.' Now they get to see two guys, as the term goes, 'bench bosses,' and they can say, 'Oh, there's another position I can possibly get to one day if I work hard enough at it.' That's what's most fulfilling for all of us," Payne told NHL.com.
I like Don, although he's undeniably getting up there in years at this point. It's just tough to do radio with only one guy in the booth. Contrast to RIT games on 1280 AM, where they always have two and quite often have 3 guys in the booth. Amerks have to find someone to supplement Don - there's no excuse for them to go solo in the booth one step away from the NHL.Since Ric is gone, the broadcast is so flat with no color guy. Hopefully they replace him soon. I'm just not a huge fan of Don.
It seems that UPL will suffer again in the AHL.
That's the problem, he'll probably look better in the NHL than in the AHL.A team with unstructured defensive play, missing a chunk of their regular defensemen, and featuring a bunch of small players who are offense first up front got bullied. Again.
