Rob Blake and TOR GM rumors

People have strong feelings for and against Blake, but these threads always go downhill when others start name calling those who have different opinions than their own

If anyone is thinking i am in favour of the kings getting rid of blake because of his past is mistaken I believe hes not as valuable to the management team going forward. The way this team drafts I would take the pick and run. Futa is the next gm of the kings not Blake.

Good riddance. Take that traitor's jersey down from the rafters, too... he was never deserving of the honor.

Sigh. If his teammates and the organization he played for don't consider him a traitor to the uniform, I'm not sure why some fans do. I figure the former know him better than the latter and it's not just some PR thing.

As someone who doesn't have strong feelings either way about Blake, trust us - we get it. You (anti-Blake fans) don't need to keep reaffirming your hatred for him every single time his name is mentioned in a thread. Sheesh. It's beyond old and boring at this point. Hell, if anything, that's what I have strong feelings about.

May I suggest Blake-haters putting an "I hate Blake" statement in your avatars so we can all move along and avoid derailing every thread where his name pops up? Because Blake supporters or the apathetic aren't the ones starting these back-and-forths about him.

teamates and former players don't pay to watch him play, although I get where you are coming from.
Personally I have moved on and wear my Blake jersey with pride. However I still understand why some have not, and in my opinion that's their prerogative.

As far as Blake to TO goes. If they would have to give up a 3rd I would rather have that pick than Blake. However I truthfully do not understand what he brings to the table.
I know I would rather lose Blake and get a 3rd, than lose Futa and get a 3rd.

So only those who like/support or are generally neutral about Blake can comment? If you don't like Blake you should ****? Good to know.

Discussion here is for Rob Blake the assistant GM potentially moving on, not your feelings on Rob Blake the former Kings player. Whether you like him or dislike him feel free to comment, but no derailing into 'why' please.

I think he'd a brutal pick for GM because he's done **** all in his managerial career and that if he wasn't a decent name that recently retired other teams would need to have their heads examined for picking him to lead the team, especially a media **** hole like Toronto.

It would be a good opportunity for Blake... and I've yet to hear of any of his contributions to where he has actually managed the team (or the Monarchs) in any capacity. So I simply question his competence to run the Kings after Lombardi. I'd rather leave that to Futa.

He can be Toronto's guinea pig.

I am all for Blake becoming the GM in Toronto. It's a position he deserves.

Futa should be the next GM of the Kings.

Doesn't really matter anymore. I don't mind keeping him or letting him go, just as long as he never becomes GM of the Kings.
