Back a few years back when drs gave out pain pills for everything, I knew people that would crush and snort them, too. They’d run out of their ridiculous monthly amount of pills then buy more from others. f***ing sad to watch.

Skaggs was just a very extreme case, an anamoly. He was a borderline junkie who happened to moonlight as a pro athlete. Seems like they want to blame everyone but him.

I still can't comprehend how the Angel employee who was just a gopher, not a dealer, with no criminal history, got 22 years for getting him the drugs.

Honestly not that he had Ohtani levels of fame, but Skaggs being who he was (a somewhat famous pro athlete) is why the guy got so much time IMO. Had it been me or you who OD'd I doubt the guy would've had the book thrown at him. People get less time than that for manslaughter.
