RIP Tyler Skaggs

Even if you want to blame the individual for his or her addiction, the Sackler family has inflicted so much pain and suffering onto thousands, if not millions, of families. As far as I'm concerned they should be locked away in prison for the rest of their lives.

It’s like people who spend their days gambling away their lives in Casinos. Blame the individual if you want but it’s a system designed to addict people, bankrupt them and ultimately ruin their lives.
Yep. But Skaggs has wife and kids.

Yeah and no one is debating that he didn’t make wrong choices and bad decisions. Just that addiction is super powerful especially when you’re being enabled and there’s pain management issues going on as well. You can call him a selfish scumbag if you want but that’s not really fair or painting a full picture here

There's a reason why this garbage is still legal while those same dinosaurs want to keep Marijuana a schedule 1.

Hard not to connect the dots between 'Kay says 5-6 other Angels were known users' and 'authorities have interviewed these 5-6 Angel players'.

I have no comment over the debate regarding marijuana.

However, some opioids do need to be legal for the purposes of pain management. They need to be monitored though, and patients need to have the discipline to use them as directed and not abuse them.

I once completely herniated two discs in my back, and I was only able to make it through the day for about 2 weeks with the help of oxycodone. It was severely painful. I couldn't get out of bed or sit up without the oxycodone.

I can definitely see how one could abuse the drug, because of how euphoric I felt when taking it. It also felt addictive and I did have withdrawal effects after I went off of it.

This is why the patient needs to be counselled before taking them. They also need to have the discipline to not take more than is prescribed and don't take it before your next scheduled dose. Because this is what can lead to overdose.

if Skaggs was involved in selling, big oops on hero worshipping a drug dealer

That's what I was thinking....there goes his family's leverage, pointing the finger at everyone else when it very well may have been his own doing.

Imagine the family of Jose Fernandez, suing the Florida Marlins. :help:
