why are some of you looking to dump Pyatt? He is on a 1 mill contract and is a very solid bottom 6 forward.

Rupp on the other hand..

i for one think rupp's gonna bounce back this year. i like both additions. i think they'll be ok salary cap wise.

According to zipay, all our guys are in nyc except Gabby, he's coming tonight..

Also only injuries are Sauer and Asham (minor injury)

No team benefited from hiding players in the AHL more than the Rangers during this last CBA. This new rule about anyone with a one way deal above 900k counting against the cap really forces Slat's to be careful with any multi-year deal. He doesn't have that safety net any longer. This worries me.

If you don't see how any season is much different from no season at all, I really don't know how to explain it :dunno:

Yup, I get the anger ( I still have some) with the whole "process", but another lost season would have destroyed this league

So does Redden count towards the cap now?

saying he does in the salary cap thread, cant buy him out till next yr. The new rule is going to make teams think twice about offering one deals to fringe players. For example Haley has a one way deal next yr so if the Rangers send him down part of his salary stays on the cap, they have an AHL dollar amount that does not count on the cap but its small. So Redden costs the Rangers alot this yr but its prorated

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Not sure I'm coming back this season, the greedy ******** wasted months to salvage a semi season and now they want my money and attention?

I'll eventually cave and they'll get my attention, but I won't be spending a dime on anything NHL for a long time.

Any news on going back to divisional playoffs?

We're probably the strongest team on paper, Bleacher Report has us at 1 in their power rankings, but we all know that with us what's on paper doesn't mean ****. I beleive!

*EDIT -- anyone got an over/under on how long before the garden starts Fire Bettman/Fire Fehr chants? I'm going to say about 1 min into the first period.

I wouldn't expect any of this stuff until the deal is official. There are still details to work out and the BoG isn't voting until Tuesday.

Why are they not voting til Tuesday? if thats the case, they don't have any chance at 50 games.. unless they decide to open camps while its going on?

Considering it's Sunday now, and there are still players all over the world, it seems unlikely they could open camps prior to Tuesday or Wednesday anyway.

during the national anthem. :handclap::laugh:

Any notice on realignment? I mean, they can't seriously expect Winnipeg to play 28 out of their 50 games in the South East...

Perhaps, but 30 less games for us as a grinding, shot blocking team can't be a bad thing. We should be a bit less worn out heading into the playoffs.

That's the silver lining in my eyes. It's a tougher league all around with everyone "fresh" and most players will hit their stride around 30-40 games in. But for us we'll have less wear and tear.

so if Redden counts, how much cap space do we have this year? all thats left pretty much is to resign mdz anyway right
