The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race.
There are plenty of great contemporary sculptors in bronze or marble. They're just not commissioned to make sculptures of sportspeople. The Industrial Revolution in terms of art has been an inspiration for many. Aa has the rise in urbanisation. Take Bellows ir Martin for instance. The artists are out there just that the fad is to hype the mediocre to the forefront.

Love statue threads. I always bring this one up as worst of all time, not close (Brown's comes close).

It looks like they actually shrank the dimensions of the pads dramatically. He looks long and lean. Goalies all look like sumo wrestlers.

Someone tell me that the Dustin Brown statue is just a joke.

I mean. I know he got a statue (that's an entirely different point of conversation), but that has to be a Photoshop right?

I'm okay with having a statue like this, it's history after all, but maybe there should be an informative plaque attached to it explaining the monstrous crimes committed by the franchise of signing Granlund and waiving Tolvanen
