The Hobbit resolution is still weird to me. I'm glad it seems to mean the show is done with them, but it's odd.

Nori is so steadfast that she needs to go with the stranger and see him find his destiny. Then she kind of suddenly is like "nah we got to go our separate ways" and just walks off (I think the follow the other hobbits...but I'm not sure as she walks off alone).

She doesn't even get the resolution of knowing that Gandalf found his staff and name.

If it was her believing she needs to be Hobbit Moses and lead them to the Shire, while stupid, that would at least be a resolution. But I don't think they need nearly enough legwork to establish that.

I watched the season finale. Season 2 was better than season 1, but the plot and many of the characters were still a total mess.

Can't believe how badly they butchered Tom Bombadil after a strong debut a few episodes ago.

Is it weird that outside of Sauron the orcs are my favorite characters?

I think I liked that less than most but it was still good. The music at the end needs to be edited out in all future releases. It killed the finish of that otherwise good episode. What the hell was that? Let’s just throw some modern metal music in a music without anything modern otherwise. Terrible choice to end such a pivotal episode

That's the same complaint people had when Jaime got his hand cut off at the end of episode 3 I believe in season 3 of Game of Thrones. Played a punk version of "the bear and the maiden fair".
I thought it fit and was interesting.

I think they have nailed Elendil as well. One of the only characters on the good side I truly believe to be a future leader of the Last Alliance.
