Leaf Fan Till I Die
This list is debatable very much so however Bob Mckenzie even said something similar a few months back.
The Morgan Rielly hype train at the WJC is going to be magnificent. I can hear the whining from other Canadian fan bases already![]()
really hope he explodes in this tournament and takes all that he can learn from it.

It's a Morgan Rielly thread nowIt took precisely one reply for someone on the prospect board thread about this list to start whining about Rielly being too high.
Love it!![]()

Agreed. He seems like a legit blue chip prospect. You and me both. We've needed a prospect like Rielly for a long time.
I also want him to clearly hands down out play Hamilton
I know, I know. I'm getting greedy here
PPG with his usual game changing speed will suffice for me.

Can you imagine with a full blown lockout and us getting another top 5 pick possible what will happen ?![]()
I would trade Rielly for everyone in that top 13 other than Ritchie (and maybe the two Russians based on KHL factor).
I've always thought we had a better chance of that high of a pick if we played a seasonWould be over the moon if we can get a #1 center prospect at this up coming draft.
We were a playoff team for 3/4 of last season until an unprecedented collapse. Theres a better chance we finish just outside of a playoff spot then in the top 5 again IMO (if we played a full season).
Craig Button's list of top 30 NHL affiliated prospects. Ranks Rielly 1st overall in 2012 draft prospects (one ahead of Yakupov) and 4th overall. I've never been so hyped for the World Juniors!

Naysayers gonna naysay.
You lost me at Craig button.
If the guy knew anything about player potential he might have held onto St.Louis, Savard and Giguere.
Atleast Bob does research. I would put much more stock in something Bob did than any thing Button did.
Bob polls scouts. Button flies around the world and actually watches the kids play. Both provide great input, but somehow claiming Bob's opinion is any more valid than Button's isn't right.
Button watches the players and posts his opinions on them. It's that simple. There is nothing reduces about his "stock".
You couldn't prove Button is a capable judge of hockey talent if you had 1000 lawyers and 1000 years to make a case.
I would much rather have Bob's poll of scouts than Button's solo oppinion.
