Craig Button's list of top 30 NHL affiliated prospects. Ranks Rielly 1st overall in 2012 draft prospects (one ahead of Yakupov) and 4th overall. I've never been so hyped for the World Juniors!

So I guess the question is: Do we play Reilly on the Marlies next year for the fear of rushing him too soon? Or is he going to deserve a spot in the NHL just as much as Gardiner?

He can't play with the Marlies next year. Its either NHL or WHL. And a prospect of Rielly's caliber will most likely never see the AHL.

I believe he doesn't make the AHL eligibility requirements next season. WHL or NHL for the 2013/2014 season.

I would trade Rielly for everyone in that top 13 other than Ritchie (and maybe the two Russians based on KHL factor).

Not a surprise. Many top scouts believe if not for the injury, Rielly would have gone first overall.

The Leafs (Finally) got a break.

1. Justin Schultz Proving he belongs. Fine. Debateable.
2. Evgeny Kuznetsov Too unsure of him
3. Vladimir Tarasenko See above
4. Morgan Rielly
5. Nail Yakupov In a heartbeat
6. Alex Galchenyuk In half a heartbeat, my favorite prospect
7. Mark Scheifele I would. Pretty high on him.
8. Sven Baertschi He is electric, but ok, debateable
9. Jonathan Huberdeau No brainer
10. Ryan Strome Debateable
11. Brett Ritchie No
12. Dougie Hamilton Yes
13. Mikael Granlund Hell yes

A little too early to say that we finally got a break.
He hasn't even played an nhl game yet.

But hopefully he's as good as touted.

I'm so dejected over this lockout and Burke creating a disaster of a team top to bottom...
but Reilly is that one ray of light.

I wouldn't, but in order of preference I would trade him for:

1. Huberdeau
2. Yakupov
3. Galchenyuk
4. Tarasenko
5. Hamilton
6. Kuznetsov
7. Granlund

Yet you love telling us what a superstar Dougie Hamilton is...

This is your opinion. The scouts don't agree.

I also just said that Reilly is the one ray of light on the team.
If Hamilton was there, there would be 2 rays of light.

Pretty simple.

If it's a draft pick the Leafs gave up, he's a lock as a superstar. Since the Leafs picked Rielly, we're not allowed to compliment him.

I stand by my opinion that if Rielly was selected by Boston this year with Toronto's pick he'd be getting much more hype right now.

I just called Rielly the one ray of hope on the team.

Clearly I'm a fan of his.

You're trying way too hard to start an argument.

Would have been nice if the leafs signed Schultz this summer, d core would be one the strongest for years. Either way still super excited that we have Reiley on our team., hope the season starts sometime in January and we get to see him play in the NHL.
