Prospect Info: Ridly Greig (LW) 28th Overall

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

He’s turned into a real difference maker who can probably play on any of the bottom three lines.
Best player from my point of view last game and he has been very good the last few weeks. Can't believe some people wanted to get rid of him. Still like him better at center (he won some huge face-off against the B's very easily). He is so versatile and the intensity, the grit and skill is quite a good mix, I think we still haven't seen even close to what he will be as a finish product. Another empty net slapper against the Leafs tonight would be awesome 😅

His line has been our best line as far as I'm concerned.

Obviously not as skilled but his game sorta reminds me of Alfie, he's gotta build his lower body more and he'll get even closer.

5 tool player.

Give him 2 or 3 more offseasons of building muscle and he will be even more impactful, and as he grows more comfortable his skill will begin to shine through more and more.
One thing I’ve noticed lately is how successful he’s been stopping rushes in the neutral zone and at the blue line with his active stick, just poking pucks away and stopping rushes dead in their tracks.

It’s been impressive.
He is really strong on his stick and very quick and decisive when defending the zone or battling along the boards

Big believer in this kid since junior.

Very smart and tenacious. As expected he has been up and down as a young player in the league, but his play when he was the C for Tank proved to me he had the skills to go along with his intangibles.

He can play in all situations and he will absolutely be a player to match up and frustrate the other teams best.

Can't wait to see him keep maturing and how he reacts to the playoffs.

The Riddler is in playoffs mode in recent times and has been the best forward overall since 4Nations. He has taken his role with Pinto and Amadio in stride and the trio has been the best 3rd line since Schaeffer-Fisher-Neil (the best being Arvedssin-Bonk-Hossa).

I have favourably compared to Greig to Brad Marchand in the past. Greig can be as pesky, clutch, and hopefully be somewhat close to Marchand offensively.

Very happy to see him on the team’s long term plans.
