I'd honestly question if anywhere here watched a single game of his this season if you cant tell how obvious it is he is playing injured.

HE IS INJURED. No its not an excuse, just watch the game and you can see how different he is playing in every single zone then how he did in the season.

Yup. He's clearly laboring. Something is up with his legs.

i think he injured himself again tonight. I think he already has a leg injury but noe he hurt his wrist or something because he cant hold onto the puck or shoot it

It's the playoffs and we're the New York Rangers playing for coach Tortorella. Everyone on our team is injured. This is how it's going to be with this coach and this system. If we do make it out round one Girardi and McDonagh are going to be in wheelchairs.

Nash is skating fine. He just has a little bit of Ovi syndrome. He needs to slow down when he hits the offensive zone and try to make passes. Stop charging the net every possession.

he needs to use his teammates more and not try to be Alex Kovalev and deke on every other shift for a 1 on 2 or 1 on 3...

Injured or not, his decision-making has been brutal. Turning his back to the goal, not once, but twice in overtime for a low-percentage backhand shot? Yikes.

Our new ballerina. Trade him to the Canadian figure skating team for couple of cheer girls.

what happened to his wrist shot?

There's plenty of other things he can do. Crash the net. Use his big body. Move his feet. Do SOMETHING. The problem right now is it doesn't even look like he's trying.

Gaborik scored goals last year with a TORN LABRUM. It's playoff time there's no excuse. If you can be out there on the ice and play, do something. If you can't shoot, hold onto the puck, draw a guy to you, and move it quickly. Don't hold onto it until the other team poke checks it away from you with no effort.

This post needs to be stickied on this board for the next few days.

Everybody's hurt in the postseason. Leetch had the most dominant postseason by a defenseman in NHL history with one working shoulder. Rocket Richard was concussed three times a year.

Mario Lemieux had a broken hand. Scott Stevens played injured every postseason. Forsberg played on one leg. Yzerman, Gilmour etc etc etc.

If you're too hurt to contribute, take yourself out of the lineup. If you dont want to play through pain and refuse to be a goal scorer other than off the rush, take yourself out of the lineup.

If Nash is hurt, then he should sit. He's not helping the team right now. I defended him because at least he was hustling and playing defense, but the last couple of games he's been horrible.

I'm so tired of hearing the injury excuse for every damn player on this team. Its the playoffs, everyone is banged up. Yet the Rangers are the only team that have guys sitting out with playable injuries, or guys playing with injuries that are absolutely useless. Such a soft group this year.

He's so useless right now it hurts. We better hope he's injured and this is not just him disappearing.

Not sure who I want bought out this summer, Brad or this bum

Wait WHAT!? This opinion actually caused me chest pain and took a few years off of my life. In terms of value and making things happen Nash >>>>>>>>>>>>>Richards. This team wouldn't have made the PO's without him and he was our team's MVP for a good 25 games to start the season. He's a phenomenal player who at the very least is drawing top D men and players to himself which opens things for our other lines. Teams are not gearing up to shut down garbage Richards and Richards isn't opening up space for any1.

It's after a loss and all but you can't manage a team if you make moves like using the buyout on nash and keeping Richards till the year TWO THOUSAND AND NINETEEN unless you make some kind of demonic pact that Richards HAS to get at least 60 pts a season or retire. At least Nash should be useful and an NHL caliber player for another 2 or 3 years heck maybe even 4. Richards has ZERO goals if we're being honest and does NOTHING out there. He is a trash heap NOW. Or do we seriously give him credit for a goal with zero goalie in the net?

I wouldn't be ***ing on the big Brich again if you hadn't made this comparison. I suspect you made this comparison which I feel is beyond ridiculous b/c we just loss well I am similarly dismissing this opinion adamantly due to my anger and frustration about this loss

The question is whether or not Nash has a major injury and whether or not he truly is completely useless.

The answers are "Impossible to know but I doubt it" and "No. Not even close to completely useless out there but certainly well below expectation and where he needs to be"

The guy doesn't seem to care at all. At least Richie trys most of the time, Nash just glides, waits for the puck, and doesn't back check, then he lazily skates to the bench...is that a superstar?
