Just thinking
Unfortunately Nash has been a non-factor the last few games, after a number of games where he seemed absolutely dominant. Was this his MO in Columbus?
Still a great player at times, but perhaps we're starting to see why he has not ranked in the same sentence as he game's true superstars.
Others may disagree... Nash seemed to have two modes in Columbus (for whatever reason - nagging injuries? mood?), normal mode and what I would call "Olympic Nash". Olympic Nash is an absolute beast of a player, normal Nash - not so much.
In Columbus, the other team only had to worry about Nash. His teammates tended to feed him the puck continuously and expect him to score. He would pass to others to finish and more times than not, they would flub it.
Over time, Olympic Nash made fewer and fewer appearances. Perhaps Olympic Nash is making his presence known for now. And, for the good of the Rangers, I hope he keeps it up.
