Rick Nash Part II

TRADE THIS ****ING PIECE OF **** IN THE OFFSEASON.

HE ****ING DOES NOT SHOW UP IN THE PLAYOFFS.

Get a good young player and a draft pick and call it a day. I dont care what the hell he does in the season if he cant score a ****ing goal in the playoffs.

Yah the guy who started the play on our only goal, he's the one that didn't show up.

Nash is at fault for being a good player but not scoring.

Meanwhile, McDonagh, Yandle, Boyle, St. Louis, and Stepan have been pure garbage.

Nash is not the reason they are losing games.

"He's being paid $7.8 million to score goals" is a stupid ****ing argument. He's paid that much because he's a great all around player. I don't see anyone saying St. Louis or Brassard or anyone is paid $$$ to score goals.

Nash needs to score more, there's no doubt about it. To use the words like "no show" is just ****ing stupid and ignorant.

WRONG. Decent players play good all around games and are paid 4M. 8M are expected to play good all around games and PROVIDE OFFENSE. (or defense if they are defenseman) We can trade his ass and bring in another "solid all around player" who may or may not score when we need it. Go look at Getzlef, he is getting paid 8M because he plays a great all around game AND provides offense. Go looks a Towes, Kane, Perry, Ovechkin(not so much defense but he provides offense, the 4M can worry about the defense).

I thought about Nash getting traded in the offseason during the game. This is getting ridiculous. Hagelin and Brassard are the ones showing up, not Nash (offensively).

Brassard has 5 goals where all of them have come of Nash assists, Brassard is showing up and Nash is choking.

You can't make this garbage up.

He's not the reason for our playoff woes. Like someone said earlier, he's been on the ice for 50% of the playoff goals. It would be very nice for him to pot one in this series, then it's likely 2-2, think about it. It's still not his fault though (no sarcasm).

But we should still try to move his 7.8M out for younger forwards.

I agree with that. If he was a one dimensional scorer, he wouldn't be making $7.8 million. People are acting like Nash is paid to score goals, but he can be terrible at everything else if he's scoring goals. People are talking about Rick Nash like he's Brad Richards the last couple years. That couldn't be further from the truth.

He has 1 goal in 8 games. The guy who was 3rd in goal scoring in the regular season. Besides for Stamkos, the other goal scorers of the league are doing what they are paid to do.

Rangers D-men have 1 point in this series...... The only point was created by Rick Nash screen. Also a major major problem with this team. I guess we won't point a finger at that because that isn't their job to create offense.

He played an AWESOME 1st period. Very good 2nd with the play on the goal.

It sucks that that 3rd period is going to stick in my mind for a long time. There was a play in the first 7 min or so where he cut down the LW to create a quick / short ice 2-on-1. Defender is drifting to cover Marty on LW so the pass is covered. But he has space. He has a lane to the net but instead pulls back to take the puck behind the net where he loses and edge and falls to his knees. Puck going the other way. Just so horrendously soft. In October he pulls a power move and drives that to the front of the net to create a chance. I guarantee it.

D-Men have been playing like crap too.

But one:

1.) This doesn't negate Nash not breaking through like other offensive players have, and - most importantly;

2.) This is a thread about Rick Nash. You want to talk defense, take it elsewhere.

Feel free to ***** about that in the 20 other threads that rip the Rangers' dmen a new one. This thread is for the player whose goals/game rate drops by 72% between the regular season and playoffs. Through "only" 50 games to be fair.

I thought he was really good in the first, decent in the second period and then faded out completely in the third. So frustrated. I think he's trying but it's just not happening. I almost wish he'd just start hanging and cherry picking for breakaways. Let someone else play defense.

There are a lot of players that deserve to be "done" here and Nash ain't one of them.

No, he's definitely one of them.

Go read what people are saying about Nash in the playoffs. Or are we going to play that card that the main boards just houses idiots?

Wow! The inbreds on the knowledge devoid cesspool that is the mainboards! I SO care about their stupid opinions.

Great reference point there. Jesus christ.

Caps fan coming in peace, big Rick Nash supporter.

Last two games he's been all over the place. Half a dozen sickkkk power moves tonight from Nasher.

Alas, at 8 million a year, getting the kind of ice time he's getting, with a line-mate like Brassard, you've got to score goals.

To say he's not showing up seems to me a bit over-stating it. But a dissapointment, he has to be. He's supposed to be one of the best wingers in the NHL, and he's getting paid accordingly..

What I'm seeing is typical Rangers board denial.

Then why the **** didn't we sign Cally to what he wanted and traded Nash last season? Cally practically does the same **** Nash does. Has pretty much the same points per game in the postseason as Nash does.
