Once his conditioning stint is over, they should waive him. He doesn't replace anyone in the lineup and also needs playing time due to all the injuries he's had over the last 2 years.

No, one will pick him up due to those injuries, too.

Oh, this also means he will be taken off LTIR & start using cap space. His $1.1m can be fully buried in the AHL. No sense using cap space on a 14th forward. His $1.1m cap hit will also keep teams from claiming him.

Replaces ABB if ABB is out for a bit.

Not an NHLer
He’ll both help and hurt Laval. RHP will be an immediate improvement over players like Farrell and Kidney. But it will also rob these young players of critical developmental playing time and opportunity.

RHP is at best a fringe NHLer at present who has limited, if any upside.

Happy for him that he's healthy.

Will be interesting to see how long it takes him to get his timing back in 3 games.

💯 % agree! Smallish and slow players don't build contenders. If they sit Heineman or Condotta for this player it will be disappointing.
Team is going well now. Hard to see him getting in while the team is doing well. I suppose Heineman would be the easy sit if MSL wants to get him in.

But I would think MSL will keep Barron, Pez, RHP, and even Primeau, out of action for long stretches unless there are injuries. I think he's found his healthy lineup until Laine comes back.

Who gives a f*** about the development of Farrell and Kidney?
