I've never been high on Geekie. He is just frustrating inconsistent. They've both got quite similar traits for sure.
I think Geekie looked like a good prospect early on and since than has faded a bit I just hope that doesn't happen to McQueen.

Me as well. McQueen does show a lot more consistency than Geekie.

Not saying Geekie won't pan out. He might have a Dylan Strome type of career where he figures it out a lot later than people expect. I've watched games where Geekie just dominates and is the best player on the ice, but many games where he is completely invisible.

This is my impression of Geekie as well and often players like him are reaches on draft day due to their size.

Geekie is trending pretty well imo and wouldn't be surprised if he's better than all the forwards who were taken ahead of him. Only thing is if Arizona will be smart and put Geekie with Guenther or if they'll cater to Cooley

I was watching him intently last night. He is pretty damn good.

Another note, some ugly kid bumped into my pocket in the concourse (felt intentional, like he was aiming at my wallet), today my card is being used to pay off fines in Montreal and a cell phone plan from Dubai and they tried to buy $700 in gangster clothes from fashion nova

I know he's a 2025 draft eligible, but he's 2 months younger then Tij Iginla. Where would he be drafted in the 2024 draft in your view? Top 15?

So what's the outlook for mcqueen? Decent year, potential to play himself into the top 3 discussion with his size, speed and skill. Is he more of a power type of player with skill and how is his two way game?

I don't think he would be able to play himself into top 3 discussion.. You've already got Hagens, Ryabkin, Frondell that figure pretty prominently near the top. Porter Marton also always looks way better than him. You've also got Hensler as a right shot defenseman and Michael Misa who has great pedigree despite a bit of an off season.

But he should still go high, you've gotta be looking at Martone and McQueen if you're Chicago, they need a combination of size and skill to help that group out.

Depending on what he does in his DY, I see McQueen in the 6-12 range for now.

I think I prefer McQueen to players like Misa, Ryabkin, and Frondell. The upside is that much higher to make it worth it.

For me to draft him over Hagens, Martone, and Schaefer (has more to prove than Hagens and Martone, but probably will), I have to feel confident he's not just another Kirby Dach where he puts up decent points his draft season and has all these tools, but doesn't really ever put it all together and make you think he will be that big, dominant 1C that teams want.

There might be a flaw in putting too much in a comparison to Dach. Dach is a capable NHL player, but they do have a bunch of similarities. If he can leave no doubt, he has a chance to vault up into the top tier and potentially 1OA. If not, I think it's a range around pick 5, as long as he doesn't tank this season.
