Good contract for him. Hope he enjoys this time of his life.

Seems destined to be a 30 year old AHL legend for the Manitoba Moose or something.

One of the few players that actually showed a ton of promise last year. Has a chance to be a really valuable bottom 6 guy for us for a while. And this is coming from a guy who really thought he was just a sideshow act.

His play after the last suspension was impressive. Well deserved and congrats to him. Also one of the few I'm looking forward to watching next year.

My sentiments exactly. I wasn't a fan initially, but if he can learn to consistently hit clean, he can be a force for us.

Last 6 games he was over 10 minutes a game. Averaged 8:30 up from 5:38 the year before.

A D or one of his line mates would rim the puck behind the net and he was really good at taking the pass, cycling a bit, making a play with the puck and then heading for the net. He wasn't really a liability defensively. He ended the year as a +7. His linemate Carrick a +5. When they were with Edstrom they were a particularly good forechecking line. One of the bigger positives is his skating has improved and it seems it will continue to even get better. As the season went along it became a rare sight to see him on his back like it was the year before. Players running interference on him were also having a harder time taking him out low at the knees.

I listened to the Cam and Strick show where Calvin de Haan raved about him at times. de Haan said that he told Rempe to stop hitting people and just run into them. That his size and weight were enough to give him an advantage over opponents. There seemed to be some of that as the season wound down.

He ended the year with 3 goals and 5 assists in 42 games and 8:30 is still limited ice time. If he plays the entire year he could easily get to 15/20 points as a 4th liner. Those numbers pretty much prorate to that from last year over a full schedule. Better than we ever got from Gauthier and a bunch of others.
