I am sooo upset right now, literally just clicked the wrong box (Kisio into "40+ assists", which ironically would have worked if it had been for the Rangers, not the Flames!)

Just pretend Langkow is there instead, and my score is 1? :naughty:

Played on one team Career is a very funny one:

I remember well Finnish players careers so I decided to put short-period visitors there. Henrik Haapala for the Panthers and Ilkka Heikkinen for the Rangers.

Blackburn was a good call, I struggled the most with that square. It's funny how long the Rangers have been around but its the only original-6 team where I can't think of a single player pre-80s that had a long career in New York besides Jean Ratelle and even he didn't spend his entire career there. I also try to steer away from using current players so hedged my bet with Richter hoping that Lundqvist would dominate the "former goalie" selection. In hindsight I'm sure one of the current Rangers with <2 seasons would have been a better selection.

Evil! I always want to challenge myself by not looking things up, other than to confirm numbers (once I have a player in mind) or if I remember a player, but not their name. So, for world junior / olympics results, I have a hard time.

The only one I straight up whiffed on was I thought for sure Brylin would have gotten the bronze in '02 :shakehead

I got messed up because I didn't pay enough attention. Why would theybgonin the order of silver, gold, bronze? To match the podium? Should go gold silver bronze

I actually found this to be more of the tough puzzles. Many gold and silver medalists I remember (especially the players from the Crosby Golden goal game).

The bronze was tough. I don't even know what teams played for the bronze the last couple times NHL players were in the Olympics.

Definitely wasn't 100% sure on Olympic bronze.

I took an educated guess that the Russians got bronze in 2002: NJD (Malakhov), VAN (Bure), CHI (Khabibulin).

NJD+silver was about to use Fetisov from 1980 but figured Alexei Kasatonov would be the more obscure answer. I also used Jack O'Callahan from the Miracle on Ice squad for NJD+gold.

VAN+silver went with Ryan Miller since I wasn't 100% sure Krutov was on the 1980 squad, VAN+gold went with Alexander Mogilny, although I don't have any memories of the 1988 games but knew Mogilny was part of the triple gold club after missing out on the HOF again. VAN+bronze went back to the 2002 Russian club with Pavel Bure since I couldn't remember anybody more obscure.

Maybe I am confused but don't the rules say for an award, it has to have been won while on the team? So you have to select a player who played for the team listed when they won the medal?

Just got my best one so far. I’m a big Olympic hockey fan though so this one wasn’t bad for me. Glad I didn’t mess any up

Once again, really starting to feel the percentages going higher on players who are more obscure (today at least), or maybe I'm just losing my touch?

TIL this doesn't include pre-relocation roster players. I tried to get fancy with a player and it was a no go. It as a fun Thrasher throwback and was cut down.
