they will come back up should be easily better then any team in div 1a next year if they do go downI am pretty sure my Germans are getting relegated
Well, I was wrong.
Germany looks like they don't know why they're here. It's like they've checked out mentally, while Kazakhstan is giving a 100% and trying their best.
What makes you say that the country that is, presumably, losing its place in the elite to Kazakhstan would easily beat Denmark or Norway?they will come back up should be easily better then any team in div 1a next year if they do go down
It is. One bad tournament doesn't change that. They'll be right back up should they get demoted here. On this team I feel like it's just that too many of their top players aren't performing.I thought Germany hockey was coming along. Apparently not so much.

Germany had their sweet little run of high-end talent, just like Denmark did before them, and is now back into the same mix they have been in for decades.
nothing wrong with thatTwo womens are doing game on TSN
I don't think Kazakhstan is a good team. They are relentless, but they're not very good.Kazakhstan is a good team. They went to OT vs Slovakia and didn't go away easily vs Switzerland as well. They're playing solid defensively and they're good and skilled enough to punish you for mistakes. If you wanna wear them down you need sustained pressure while not making too many mistakes.
sexist much? Two womens are doing game on TSN
That Kazakhstan team has two advantages over Germany and similar teams. They have forwards who can skate like the wind and they have a goalie who rarely gives up soft goals. So yeah, they're relentless but that's also because they have forwards who can actually skate for 60' plus. They're always dangerous.I don't think Kazakhstan is a good team. They are relentless, but they're not very good.
As mentioned earlier, this was the worst period by Germany in the entire tournament. They are slow.
Whenever they got scored on, there was this sudden burst of energy and pressure on Kazakhstan. They have the means to sustain that pressure throughout the game. Their heads are simply not in the game.
Germany still are the favorites to win this one.
to be expected when you believe you are better than relegation. However, Germany better wake up by the end of the 3rd. Kazaks have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Germany winning is still a disappointment to them for having a bad tourney and losing is even worse still. Reminds of the way Team canada plays in Bronze medal games.Kazakhstan came into the game 100 times better prepared. The Germany players appear to struggle with a low morale, disappointed they didn't make it into the QF. By far their worst period in this tournament. Kazakhstan, on the other hand, has been playing its arguably best game so far.
