Relax.

Its amazing the number of posts on predictions, recommendations, Deals that were done, not done etc...

a) We are just about mathematically eliminated from making the playoffs. This team cannot string 3 wins in a row together. While I tend be an optimist, I am also a realist. We are not making the playoffs.

b) The Sens are not contenders. Not by a longshot. We just got beaten by 2 of the worst team in the league. We beat another team in the heritage classic (that also won't make the playoffs) by 1 goal. Things are not OK.

c) We made a trade at the deadline! Just like promised. We made a trade for a guy provided his team picks up part of his salary. I guess we aren't sellers. We were buyers As a matter of fact, we have so many AHL prospects that we have to lend them to other AHL teams in our farm system. I guess players playing in the farm system is cheaper than holding NHL players accountable and sitting them while we bring our younger prospects up.

d) Nobody in Sens Management cares what you, I or other people on these boards have to say. Nobody but us is reading this. You feel better that you've posted, but it has (and will continue to do) nothing. Time on these boards is just wasting time. Do yourself a favour and get a real hobby or spend time with your family.

e) The sun will rise tomorrow.

If you really want to make an impact on this team, do it with your wallets.

Don't like what's going on, then don't go to the games or buy Sens merchandise.

In the last year or so... We have lost...

- 2nd Round Pick
- Ben Bishop
- Daniel Alfredsson
- Sergei Gonchar
- 1st round pick
- Jakub Silfverberg
- Stefan Noesen
- 3rd round pick
- 5th round pick
- Cory Conacher

We have gotten

-Bobby Ryan
- Clarke MacCarthur
- 20ish games of Ales Hemsky

That is not something to relax about... That is about as poor of asset management as you can find...

I see two rock solid NHL players in the list of what we lost, and they are both getting ready to collect their pensions. Only one guy (Bishop) is in his prime. The rest are either not in the NHL or struggling just to be in an NHL lineup. I see three legit top 6 forwards in your list of who we have gotten who are a decade or more younger than the great players we lost.

Not sure what your point is.

the best skater on this list is Ryan so i see no problem

Its happening already via attendance etc

agreed

We have actually added talent each year if you look at the deals we have done bringing in Andy, Turris, Macarthur,Ryan and now potentially hemsky shows me that ottawa isn't going to just go out and spend but will gradually keep adding players who they think fit.

Then be prepared to hear constant 'worst fanbase in hockey' remarks + face the potential of relocation. This isn't New York or Toronto where the business/sports fan market is big/intense enough to sustain just about any franchise fans or no. Ottawa is possibly the most fragile pro sports market in Canada outside maybe Quebec City. This is a little different situation than most in that our fan dollars really do sustain the franchise to a high degree.

Cutting off the nose to spite the face won't work here I don't think. It's a downwards spiral.
