At the time it happened wasn’t he just moved to another billet family, essentially covering it up?
This past December, however, Boucher pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving sexual penetration with an individual between the ages of 13 and 16 years old.
The victim in this case, who was 12 years old at the time, says Boucher, who was 17 at the time, forced her into oral sex multiple times. On the first occasion, he threatened to release video footage of her dancing, then claimed he would publicize the first encounter to coerce her into a second assault.
According to The Athletic's Katie Strang, a USA hockey spokesperson had the following statement when asked for comment on the matter:
"In March of 2011, we spoke to parents of both minors and there were no accusations made, but Boucher was proactively removed from the billet home. In March of 2021 we were notified by police of allegations of sexual misconduct and have fully cooperated with their investigation."
There was a thread but some started defending the rapist of a 12 year old and that didn't go down well.Former NHLer Reid Boucher pleads guilty to sex crime involving 12-year-old in 2011

People made excuses for him? I mean how can you make excuses for someone who plead guilty.
This thread will be closed when the troglodytes start making excuses for him, just like in the thread yesterday. Its embarrassing we can't even reach a consensus on something like this...
Dude gets off SCOTT FREE.
He blackmailed a 12 year old for sexual favors as a 17 year old. Even if he was young, it's hard to imagine him being much different now if he's never once tried to reconcile with the victim. What a shame.
Not to mention US hockey just sweeping it under the rug like it's no big deal.
Boucher, who spent time with the NHL's Devils, Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators, is due back in court for sentencing Jan. 31.
Maybe the most unsettling thing about this is that it doesn’t seem like the sort of a behavior that a person would grow out of.

I don't think so. From the article:
Let's wait to see what happens there. I doubt the judge says "Nah, it's cool bra, go live your life".
Last thread said something like community service and if he's good for a certain period of time nothing really happens.
Guessing that’s due to a combination of time since crime was committed, a lack of physical evidence and him being a minor at the time.Last thread said something like community service and if he's good for a certain period of time nothing really happens.
