Ok, no surprise here that I think RW III being out is not why we have been playing poorly. He also is not the savior to win the championship. It will take more than William III to win it.

Lots of blame to go around.

Last night's offense was poor. The defense finally won a game since the break. But the defense
was better but not where it should be; we saw where it should be before the break with out RW.

Go Celtics

You may be right. I feel it was the wrong time for the Celtics to lose Stoudamire. Muzzala is learning and making costly mistakes. It would be OK if I didn't think they had a chance to win the championship. I don't think they can win it now for many reasons.
We're in the same spot coaching wise trying to find who that top assistant is after losing Hardy and Stoudamire as to why the defense intensity seems to be missing and Damon had been elevated into that role, even when Joe was briefly on the injury report..... and then the distraction off court w/ Ime, and the elevation by Brad replacing Danny and trying to uphold the Celtic legacy/mystique....

btw, keep in mind the NBA Rules on Technicals assessed after 16 each subsequent one could add a suspension of a game, as Draymond Green (GS) has hit that plateau

21 point lead got down to 9. The title is correct No Lead Is SAFE.

BTW, 76ers won again I think that is 8 in a row, last 10 games 8-2; Celtics 5-5.

On go Utah

Griffen is doing a great job on the boards. He has and can fill in for RW III. Kornet not so much, at times but not consistent.. The Celtics not being able to hold a lead is a coaching problem, I think, and the refusal to play good defense. The Celtics remain a struggling team, after the break, both offense and defense. Ending the season in the 2 or 3 position will not be good for them.

Go Celtics tonight in Utah.

The Celtics could play all 7 games against the Sixers in Philly and I wouldn't be worried. It's just a matchup they completely own.

Who is doing this? People on Twitter? Because that's the only place that is filled with cesspool people. They don't count.

We know Brown hates the media and any criticism. But cmon. Don't start doing what Kyrie did.

Two very different posts

Jaylen Brown is not wrong.

Trying to claim he's acting like Kyrie is exactly the type of shit he's talking about.

If what he says makes you uncomfortable, good, That's the point.

I mean he has been in lockstep with Kyrie on certain things. With that said, Kyrie was an a-hole and chose to make things about race because he couldn't handle the fact people were criticizing him for legitimate reasons. I don't think Jaylen Brown is an a-hole but I absolutely believe Boston's reputation as being more racist in the year 2023 than any other similar city is vastly overstated. You'd think Boston was bunkered down in the deep south somehwere. It's one of the most liberal, progressive cities in the country. Do we have racist idiots? Yep, we do. I agree with you Mione, if he is getting blowback from burner accounts on Twitter I don't consider that any concrete conclusion to anything.

Celtics fans have a "soft" green teamer reputation these days. If he's not trying to say it's exclusive to Boston then I don't know what the point of the statement even is. There are "toxic" sports fans in every city for every sport. It's the very nature of the term "fan". Pro athletes should very easily be able to ignore troll accounts on Twitter.

There absolutely is a toxic portion of Boston sports fans, I see them on twitter every day

It’s not an issue exclusive to Boston fans and he’s not saying it is
Exactly. He's speaking about that portion of the fanbase who criticize everything players do and then bombard their social media telling them to stick to basketball and accuse them of making shit up because it isn't their experience.

Jaylen Brown is not wrong.

almost wish there were a site to go back and hear Tommy and Johnny as the generations evolve for the newer Celtic fans who are here or will eventually find their way to this forum....

Mike Gorman and Sean Grande still to this day, maybe, Max as well.... it took a while to have them ingrained into our broadcasts, had to adjust their own style to the calls.... and btw, happy birthday Scal

People telling Jaylen Brown that he made up some racist incident is such an extremely small, unimportant subset of people. It truly is. Maybe Gerry Callahan accused him of it. Or just some twitter eggs.

And I don't like the self-serving pc lawyer, Jaylen Brown and "that is a problem to me." Say goodbye to him at the trade deadline next year.

That seems possible. it is such a tough situation to trade him, because of the last contract, any team that trades for him is also limited in their ability to resign him. that limits his trade value a good bit
