Ref blatantly influences outcome of game.

Problem is no matter what, people of the team getting penalized are going to bitch and moan AND make things up that didn’t actually happen. The refs could call everything by the book but unfortunately the book has some wiggle room for interpretation in a lot of rules… which most of the time the offending team will take offense to.
Fixed it for you.

I mean that's a soft call for OT (looks like it could maybe be a hold but would usually expect to be let go in 3 on 3). The interference in the sequence earlier in OT I'd expect to be called 90% of the time as it was pretty blatant so yeah, makeup call. I hate makeup calls but they're a thing.

Stupid ref for calling a penalty before reviewing the frame by frame footage. Definitely fixed.
Right? Why didn't the ref just slow down the footage and dissect the entire play frame by frame!?! Useless refs influencing games.

Damn refs always f***ing things up....wait this happened to the flames? ...nevermind, fair call
:sarcasm:

The problem is the missed call results in a scoring chance. The make up call results in a 2 minute OT PP. Things just don't seem to balance out.

And if the flames scored on that missed call then that is also influencing the game, allowing 1 team to cheat to win.

One of the worst calls I've ever seen in OT.
2 minutes for checking..
OT penalties are almost the kiss of death for the receiving team... as was this one.
This was a great defensive play by Frost. Not a penalty. Frost reached around the other player with his arm and stick in an attempt to knock the puck away with the blade of his stick... and he did so. His stick blade made contact with the puck. Slow down the video frame by frame and its clear as day.

I love that you say it's "clear as day" (once you slow it down and watch it frame by frame)

Some people need a slow mo replay from a bad angle to see what the ref should have seen in real time from a better view point.

But they didn't score did they? So the missed call had no affect on the game. The 2 min. penalty however had a huge affect. Penalties in OT are almost certain death for the penalized team.

Then don't commit a penalty that gets called 99.9% of the time no matter the time of the game.

Every single time a player uses both arms to wrap around an opposing player it gets called.

Bad call refs are terrible in general. I know the game is fast, but sometimes they fall asleep for a full period then they call everything. Consistency doesn't even exist in the same game.
