they couldn't just wait another week?
Agree
I never understand this
Did Bell ever really get much support? Reds looked potentially promising when he took over but roster quality declined thru his time there and the Reds management never really brought in much talent to bolster it thru years
Suarez fall off at looking like breakout star really hurt them as did fact they couldn't seem to develop quality pitching nor trade for/sign quality arms to establish Reds pitching
Castillo the only real young pitcher to show potential ace qualities while good in Cincy never became ace. Still trading him away weakened an already weak team (Greene looks promising for them and whoever takes over now)
The fact Reds rewarded GM during that time with promotion to president was absurd. He didn't do anything to justify promotion and continued say in construction of team, etc
Bell maybe never gets another shot as manager but alot of what went wrong in Cincy was because of his GM's construction of team and performance
