It’s a strong draft class, really hard to say. Development isn’t linear we can look into early promise but not overweight sophomore slumps.
I probably have Hughes at 1 by virtue of being youngest in his draft class by a fair margin.
My ballpark ceiling projections, hard to compare different player styles.
Hughes- 1D, top 10-15 dman or higher? Norris nom?
Guenther- top line winger, sniper. Regular top 10-15 winger in the league.
Power- offensive 2 way d, top 10-25 dman
Johnson- offensive 1c- 85-100 pt ceiling
Johnston- regular 70-85 pt all situations 1C, leader and future captain.
Edvinsson- top pairing high leverage 2way D, top 10-25 dman
McTavish- heavy 35g/70+pt 1C (playing behind Carlsson). Future captain.
Clarke- top pairing offensive d, top10-30 dman
Knies-60-70 pt power forward
Beniers- 70pt 2 way C, all situations and leadership. Future captain.
Eklund-70- 70pt 2way winger, top line.
Stankoven- top 6 winger, 60-70pts
Coronato- 30-30 scoring winger
Sillinger- hard nosed 2way 2C, leadership.
