I'm hoping somehow tre adds Cates and Ferraro and possibly tanev at 50% retained. We would have a phenomenal shut down line and Ferraro would stabilize the d core for the playoffs.

He won't be leaving the team, Leafs will assign him and call him back up if there is space. They have no cap space. Hell, I'd be waiving anyone I can. Reilly, Domi, Holmberg, why not?

Even if he is just around the guys during the playoffs as a motivator and rah-rah guy it helps to calm guys down, give them a boost.

He knows he is always on the bubble, especially when a team is an apparent contender. If a series starts off too violently though, he can still provide some space for his teammates believe it or not.

Reaves is useless and having a guy close to 40 with his lack of skills taking up a NHL roster spot is all that is wrong with the NHL.

Another bad signing which Tre needs to fix is Domi. There is a reason he has been on alot of teams.

The 500g between his salary and league min would be forgivable, were the Leafs not a team who needs every penny they can get.

And he'd be fine if he did the thing he was brought in to do, which is fight. How many fights does he have with the team, like 3 in 60ish games?

And he'll clear and he may be 'up with the team' after - he's not seeing a second of ice in the playoffs.

Maybe we get lucky and someone takes him?

That's been the issue since they signed the core contracts. The Cap space has never been there, plain and simple and it won't until they move on from some of these.
