Welcome to the new normalSo the Canucks trade a high first for Garland and sign him to a cap-friendly multi-year deal, and now he’s on the block in season 1 after playing well? I’m very confused?
I would not be upset at all if we move Garland and OEL in the same deal. Seattle??I imagine to lose one of the bad contracts garland needs to be attached
Would love him on the Avs. Would be a piece for our 2nd line next year when everyone is a FA. Joe needs to do a couple moves now with Landy and Girard out for pretty much the rest of the season
Grosssssss overpayment.Marino & Kapanen for Garland perhaps?
I don't really get why, though - Garland's a really good player, on a fairly priced contract he just signed, and is in his prime. Those are the types of player you keep, no?
Grosssssss overpayment.
Even Garland for Marino 1 for 1 is a toss up.
Marino & Kapanen for Garland perhaps?
I think its a case of a ballooned market and Vancouver knows that they may get more now then in the off season
Thing is, only a contender would make a trade for him now, which means that 1st rounder will be 25th or lower.I really hope Garland receives a first rounder back in return. Or Benning traded away the 9th overall "Guenther" for Ekman-freaking-Larsson. The Canucks really should be trading Boeser first before Garland.
Marino and Garland probably have roughly equal value. I don't see them adding Kapanen in the deal. In any case, the Pens can't deal Marino without getting a defenseman back who plays on the same side.
