Personally, I’d re sign him if we can clear a contract or two (Demko, Joshua, Hoglander, Blueger).

Sometimes stability is huge for role players. He's been with five different teams across two different countries since 2020. Not sure if he has family but if he values living in Vancouver, a steady role, a hockey market etc... could see him biting at something like 3.75M x 4 years.Developed into an elite PKer, always in good position at both ends of the ice, plays center, can score 15-20 goals, can pass the puck
I’d want to sign him if he takes a reasonable deal but I’m afraid he has priced himself out

If his next contract's AAV starts with a 3, the Canucks would be fools not to sign that.Don't hate the player, but voted no. Don't want to just run this group back, and think we need the AAV and roster spot to find upgrades for our top 6.
This is assuming his next contract starts with a $3.xx.
MS hated him. Said he was soft, did nothing particularly well.Remember someone long time-ago (this off-season) calling Pius Suter a 5C. L O L.
Re-sign this man.

The 5C take was ludicrous back then and looks like one of the worst takes ever on this board.MS hated him. Said he was soft, did nothing particularly well.

Suter's been exactly as advertised - a middle six forward with a history of playing center and is now playing a huge role at center for us.
MS: "Suter is not even a 4C in the NHL - he's a 5C"

Yes let’s trade our best penalty killer forward. That is getting buried at 5 on 5, but still has 22 points all at even strength, on a great contract. Yes that is the contract we need to clear. As the title of the thread suggests.

Your reading comprehension is still terrible.
I said he was a utility winger who served as the team's 5th C option - which is literally *exactly* how he was used in 23-24. This was not a difficult thing to understand, then or now, and your inability to grasp what I was saying makes you look bad.
Also, weren't you banned? Did the board crash somehow let you back in?
Both you were quick... him to start posting and you to solve that.Yes it did.
