Of course the leading result is "Other." This board hates every player but seldom names players they want that are realistic.
I would probably do something around Matheson, 41st, and a mid-range prospect like Logan Sawyer. That should close the gap between the two players and the position premium.
Fabbro is UFA. And Carrier, his ex teamate in Nash, can try to attract him in MTLDobson maybe
1. Kesselring
2. Dobson
3. Fabbro
Or trade for Murphy as a stop gap
I think Ceci is one of the worst players that somehow consistently gets work in the league.
Came to post this.............good job!!Reinbacher and Mailloux
Well he was getting slamed the last few years for his two way game, probably why a 70pts D is available. I dont dislike the guy, I just dont want to spend a lot of assets on a primary offensive dman.? Dobson isn't just some PPQB lol, if he was here he would be behind Hutson (and would expect to be).
He was excellent defensively last year so I'm not too concerned about that.Well he was getting slamed the last few years for his two way game, probably why a 70pts D is available. I dont dislike the guy, I just dont want to spend a lot of assets on a primary offensive dman.
Excellent? Again ask any Isles fan if he was excellent. He was excellent defensively last year so I'm not too concerned about that.
Yes, a 2.28 xGA/60 at 5 on 5 (behind only Pelech who is basically a top 5 defensive dman league-wide), a +5.44 xGF%rel.Excellent? Again ask any Isles fan if he was excellent.

Excellent.
Ask an average Montreal fan and they'll tell you Matheson is an invaluable number 1 defenceman. Ask an average fan league-wide and they'll tell you Bouchard is the worst defenceman on Edmonton. Ask a Rangers fan and they might tell you Fox was bad this year.Ask an Isles fan. He was not excellent
Just A 6-7th right D for depth. Can flip at deadline for a 4th. if Reinbacher and Mailloux both work out.
Trading for big name going to be expensive
Def not against picking Hensler or even Fiddler as a 4-5th dman in the future. RD is so hard to find. If they are the best players on the list then goCarrier was the Savard replacement.
Hensler looks like a mini Bacher out there on the ice with his mobility and off the ice with his stocky build. If Timmins and the Jackets pass on the top ranked Minnesotan at 14, he's a Hab.
This is a joke correct? 85% of folks here hate Matheson.Ask an average Montreal fan and they'll tell you Matheson is an invaluable number 1 defenceman. Ask an average fan league-wide and they'll tell you Bouchard is the worst defenceman on Edmonton. Ask a Rangers fan and they might tell you Fox was bad this year.
Look into other fan hang-outs than here, you wouldn't believe the kinds of things the average fan says about him. This is a joke correct? 85% of folks here hate Matheson.
I actually don't mind Matheson. He isn't a #1 and plays way too much, but at 4 mill he's valuable. Now if you want to pay Dobson 11 mill and give up Hage/picks, then I don't know what to tell you.Look into other fan hang-outs than here, you wouldn't believe the kinds of things the average fan says about him.
Good thing to keep in mind is that 11 million in 27-28, when we'll likely be starting to compete, is more like 8.5 in today's money. Pretty reasonable for a top pairing two-way D. I wouldn't necessarily give up Hage for him, but 16/17+? Sure.I actually don't mind Matheson. He isn't a #1 and plays way too much, but at 4 mill he's valuable. You ARE not getting him for 16/17.Good thing to keep in mind is that 11 million in 27-28, when we'll likely be starting to compete, is more like 8.5 in today's money. Pretty reasonable for a top pairing two-way D. I wouldn't necessarily give up Hage for him, but 16/17+? Sure.
So you want Noah Dobson here making 3 million more than Nick Suzuki? GeezGood thing to keep in mind is that 11 million in 27-28, when we'll likely be starting to compete, is more like 8.5 in today's money. Pretty reasonable for a top pairing two-way D. Picks?Seems like Marner is chosing between Dallas or Vegas. My darkhorse is Columbus however.
What would you offer Vegas or Dallas for one of their Cs?
Are you under the impression that the extension Suzuki signed in 2021 after a year playing as our 2C, that bought 4 RFA years in an 81.5 million cap world, would remain as the ceiling for a contract we hand out to an established top-pairing two-way RD to buy 1 RFA year in a cap world that's quickly going to rise almost 30%?You ARE not getting him for 16/17.
