Before current WJC I was criticising the thoughts about listing him into the U20 squad because of his age. I changed my mind.
When I see our defence , I think he would already be very valuable member of the team..

I think NA is the best option if he can go to CHL early like Daniil Chayka did or USHL next year than CHL for draft year. Or maybe he stays in nitra for next season and gets more ice time and than movies for draft year.

Was arguably the best player on the ice today as team u18 won 3-2 in 2.liga game. He had 1 assist. Him and Petrovicky are great combo on defense

Will be at upcoming u18 tournament again with Slafkovsky as the other 04. Looking ahead to wjc next year, could this be the first time in history where 3 triple underagers (Slafkovsky, Mesar, nemec) are selected for WJC ?
Highly unlikely. Three is simply too much. I think, they will wait with Slafkovsky and Mesar one year. Nemec is a highly skilled offensive D and we saw on the last WJC, there was nobody like him. He will be there.
Just my opinion.
Nemec will be there for sure (if he stays healthy), he already has the skills for such tournament.
Mesar has great hockey skills but he is small for WJC for now. But 1 year is long time and he could get stronger, we will see.
In case of Slafkovsky there is a question how/if he can still improve. If he will be productive and well adopted in Finnish U20 league, then I have no problem with his nomination.
I am very curious how our 2004 and 2005 will look like in 2-3 years. There is much potential.

Scored the game winner today in u20 league against Poprad. Played really well defensively against one of the better offensive teams in the league.

Pretty successful season I would say for him. I wonder where he goes for next season or if he stays in Slovakia

EP profile has been updated with him on Nitra roster for 20/21 season. I hope he gets PP1 ice time cause he is very good at straddling the blue line and getting shots through traffics

Nope. Nemec has been nominated to a U18 camp (as one of three underagers, the other two being goalies Rastislav Elias and Jan Korec).
But he should get a chance in the U20 team throughout the season, especially if he gets a solid Top4/Top 6 role in Nitra.
At the end of August Simon Nemec will also get a chance at the tournament with Finnish U20 and Czech u20.
Today Simon Nemec made his national U20 team debut.
Just scored his first goal between men, finally but it was just a matter of time. Meanwhile added also another assist.
For me personally, generational talent for Slovakia. Slafkovsky has a worse position in Finland, a very good team and a lot of older players, but in terms of talent and potential, he is, in my opinion, similar to Nemec. Let's hope that the future leaders of Slovakia and let's hope that more 2004 and 2005 will be added.
