Decent sized defenseman that is a top 50 ranked NA skater by Central Scouting, and top 40 ranked player by EP. Didn't see a thread for him. Has pretty good production at the HS level for a defenseman.

Anyone seen him play or have any info?

Good player. Big and can skate. Late bloomer. Prep School hockey on the east coast is not as good as it used to be. In addition, St. Marks schedule is not very strong (Pingree, BB&N, Middlesex, Roxbury Latin, Brooks, etc). If you look at his point production - it's coming against much much weaker teams Team Details - St. Mark's School. Against the tougher prep teams - St. Sebs, Cushing, etc. point production is very low - and they play them only sporadically. Scouting report from November "Fisher had two goals and four assists in 18 games as a sophomore. As a freshman in 2018-19, he posted one assist in 31 games. Fisher has good size and projects as a shutdown defender at the collegiate level. As I’ve written a few times in the past, he’s raw and should continue to get better." So his production definitely ramped up this year. Originally committed to Princeton earlier this year - changed his commitment to Northeastern after a really good prep school year. So do you swing for the fences and hope he can produce at the same level against much better competition? If he can, it's a great pick! I'm not sure if he is better than some of the other D from the east coast who are challenging themselves against much better competition and until they did - were ranked much higher than him... Dorrington, Healey, Leddy, etc.

Apparently this guy is looking pretty good at development camp. Anyone get a chance to see him at camp or this year at all?
He looks good on the development scrimmage but his stance and stick placement is weird when he defends. Smooth skater though, good passing on breakouts. Seems really comfortable when carrying the puck. I like him, will be interesting to see in college

This is a link to the SJ 3v3 prospect scrimmages if you're interested in watching him play. This is really the only chance we had to watch him but he looked solid. Obviously not that competitive of a situation but he popped at times.

Very underrated prospect. I had him in my top 40s and was surprised no team gambled on him in the 2nd. He's got all the tools scouts love for modern NHL dmen, mind you.

Any concern over him signing with Boston after 4 years in College? Grew up a big Bruins fan, chose a college in Boston, will likely need the full 4 years to develop as most players drafted out of high school do.

No sense in worrying about that for three more years, and it seems rare that it happens anyway.

The odds that he’s ever good enough to be worth worrying about losing are small. We’ll cross that bridge if we get there.

HS-Prep in his DY, then barely played in the USHL in his D+1, then did nothing of note in his D+2 as a 19 year old freshman at Northeastern, and now to the BCHL for his overage season.

While the 2022 Draft looks pretty weak/meh beyond the 2nd round, this was always a major reach by the Sharks in the 3rd round.

I did not know you can leave college, play junior A for a year, and come back to college.
Since junior is all age based, you most certainly can. It happens less now that you can transfer without having to sit out. Jay O'Brien failed hard at Providence, went to the BCHL for his 20 year old season, and then came back to the NCAA and had 3 solid but unspectacular seasons at Boston University.
