I'd laugh if Dallas followed up last year's pick of Mavrik Bourque, with this year's selection of Maveric Lamoreaux.

2020 is when they selected Bourque.
last year it was Mr. Wyatt Johnston
I don't know how a 6'7 player gets overlooked, but I haven't seen him properly ranked yet.
Lamoureux has as good of a gap game as you're going to get in a prospect. Obviously he had the size and reach, but his 1-step quickness/agility is impressive. And he moves laterally just as well, so trying to get by him along the boards is just as difficult.
He started pinching and jumping in to the play more as the season went on, and seemed to have good instincts to choose his openings and the skating to cover his mistakes.
Add to that, he still has about 40 pounds to add to his frame by the time he fully matures, and the upside looks very high.
Hal GillI like your assessment of him. Where would you rank him in this draft?
Also what do you think his upside is in nhl? Chara?

Not quite. His skating is one of his best assetsHal Gill
I could see the Bill Armstrong drafting him with one of their 5 picks at the beginning of the 2nd round, he definitely favors size.
8 points in 6 games.Breakout season incoming? He's 1 + 3 in 3 games so far.
