I do not think Logan is as bad as Mitchell Miller however I would not have him on the Sens Draft list. 17 year old me who was an immature dumbass would have known not to share them and keep them private. That being said I acknowledge he did try to take responsibility for his actions but he should still not be drafted.

Anyone coming here saying oh cancel culture use your head and realize intent or not there are consequences for your actions, the NHL is a cutthroat league and wont hesitate to blacklist you the moment you become a liability. Let this be a warning to other junior players actions have consequences.

Weird, almost all of your links are dead
Jesus, got them straight from his Wiki page which covers the incident.

Looks like they’re trying to cover it up? I know for a fact those worked 2 years ago when I found out about the DeSmith allegations.

Straight from the wiki:

“just after the fall semester began, DeSmith was arrested for assaulting a woman who either was or had formerly been his girlfriend. He was suspended from the team immediately after his arrest, and he eventually was permanently dismissed”

“DeSmith accepted a plea bargain on December 4, 2014. He pleaded not guilty to all charges against him (including domestic abuse) with the exception of a single count of disorderly conduct. Under New Hampshire law, "disorderly conduct" is considered a violation rather than a misdemeanor.[9] He was sentenced to a $124 fine and twelve months of probation.[9] He also signed a diversion agreement that included community service, which would lead to all charges being formally dismissed after twelve months. DeSmith met the terms of his plea bargain and stayed out of further trouble. He was never reinstated as a UNH Wildcats hockey player (although he continued to be enrolled as a student), and he did not play anywhere else all season.”

No thats not it, it is most likely because most of the links are from articles from over 7 years ago and the page is probably offline or the redirect is broken.

I really, really like him as a prospect, but I can't really fault teams for wanting to avoid a PR mess in this climate. It will be interesting to see what comes of him if he completes his junior career without being drafted.

Anyways, even if everyone else is doing it, you still need to make sure you don't get caught. That much will never change.

I ended up discussing the case with a friend and she said

"At a personal level I think he should get a second chance. Hopefully he learned a valuable lesson from what happened while in the junior league. I agree that it’s a horrible thing to do to someone who trusted you with someone so personal, and the punishment to minors is not enough."

But that they would not have them on their draft list.

No. What you need to make sure of is that you don't do it at all. Taking a photo of someone without consent and distributing it without their consent is illegal.

Using the 'everyone else is doing it' excuse is just another horrible attempt at rationalizing criminal behavior.

The kid messed up but he shouldnt be crucified for it like many are suggesting. Theres guys in the league who have done way worse. Look at a guy like Nick Cousins. People dont seem to care about his incident when going from team to team

The Nick Cousins situation was resolved and all charges were dismissed.

It was a drunken hookup that she regretted.

Could they not have used their 7th rounder on him? Lol. I don’t think anyone else was gonna take him.
