Don’t think any athlete goes to Michigan to become a lawyer

well, what do they go there for other than sports? i’m talking about the non-NHL player trajectory. Clearly Michigan must be good at something.

The money did come from booster and athletics for a large chunk of the initial investment , so it is thought of that they get a vast majority which boosts admissions and bring in more money

College athletics and booster money in head count sports really is F’d

They all go there in hopes of playing into a contract/ going pro in Europe etc.

A team like Cornell is probably the opposite

If they strictly only cared about school and not hockey why wouldn’t they go to an Ivy League school?

Nike founder Phil knight is probably the most famous for Oregon football and why they have facilities better than NFL teams and about 75,000 different jersey combinations

Most famous booster in hockey is probably Sabres owner who gave $100 mill for Penn States hockey facility which is better than 90% of NHL teams
