An very small offensive minded defenseman who couldn't produce offense at the NHL level. He looked great in the AHL his first couple of years but it never translated to the NHL . His advanced stats looked good but he produced basically nothing while making some very stupid mistakes leading to goals as well.
It was very telling during the 18-19 season when the Stars for a time had like 6-7 injured defenseman the coaching staff trusted much younger offensive minded rookies more than Honka.
