Dont know what games youre watching, but if you think Drysdales skating isnt in the same or similar tier as Makars, youre clearly not watching the same games.

It's really not. Makar's skating is being heavily underrated here. He's a lot more conservative in the NHL, but if he was unleashed like he has been at every other level there aren't many that can keep up with him. Drysdale isn't even the best skater in the OHL right now. Makar would be at 18.

20 points this season already, is +7 with 32 shots on goal, only 8 penalty minutes (= very smart player in his own end)
Erie Otters are 7-5-0-2 | 16 points | 56-46 GD (+10)

Midwest:

Owen Sound Attack - 8-3-0-1 | 17 pts
Kitchener Rangers - 6-3-2-2 | 16 pts
Erie Otters - 7-5-9-2 | 16 pts
Guelph Storm - 5-4-1-2 | 13 pts
London Knights - 5-4-1-1 | 11 pts

Drysdale, after going 4 straight games without a point (had 13 shots on goal in those games thou) scores an primary assist in his last game.
- even thou he has struggled points wisely, lately, Jamie is still 3rd in OHL points by d-men, with 21 points in 18 games.

Hasn't scored a goal in a month, 5 assists (before tonight) in the last month or so. -1, -1, -2, -2, -2, -1.....etc. etc.
My guess is; his coach said to him that he needs to shoot the puck more and he did/has, but focused too much on that.

Last 2 games thou...only 2 SOG combined. 0+3 (2 primary) tonight, 0+1 in game before.

Had 3 games without a point, but last game, it was one of those games that pretty much every pass finds your team mates
4 primary assists (3 beauty's) for Jamie Drysdale. 29 points (1.21 ppg) now for Jamie this season

31 points in 26 games this season. Needs more consistency, has had too man off games this season and Erie Otters lately been bad
what comes to results that is, 4 wins in the last 10 games and have fallen to 6th place in the Conference.

Jamie leads his team in points by d-men, 2nd in points all together and is 2nd in points in the OHL by d-men.

1. Hoefenmayer - Ottawa - 33 points (8 goals)
2. Drysdale - Erie - 31 points (5 goals)
3. Chisholm - Peterborough - 30 points (3 goals)
4. Merkley - London - 26 points (6 goals)
5. Solovyov - Saginaw - 26 points (3 goals)

What are you talking about? He is consistently the best defenseman on his team (and one of the best in the OHL) every single night as a 17 year old. Just because he doesn't register a point when you are box score watching does not mean he is inconsistent, and if you are judging a defenseman based on stats alone, he's still on pace for more points than Drew Doughty, Alex Pietrangelo, Dougie Hamilton, P.K. Subban and Aaron Ekblad in their 17 year old OHL seasons.

I meant statistically more consistent.

I hope Hockey Canada is smart and does not apply their idiot graduation rule when it comes time for the U18 tournament.

Would love to see him play w/and against his age group.

Byfield as well, but doubt he'll play along and make himself available for that tournament.

So what about his defensive game? First of all I mean stickworking, abilities to cut passing lines, physical game along the boards and around the net?

Under 50% chance :(

We haven't had good luck in any of the draft lotteries either
You have only been in 3 lotteries for your entire franchise history and for those years you were in the 5-8 range which has less of a chance for first than odds for the bottom 3 teams.
