I can’t believe how good the 2020 draft class looks so far. It looks STACKED.

So is 2019
Look, I hope Drysdale kills it. I remember talking about him last year as a guy who might be able to challenge Byfield (whose tools are unreal), but its way too early to call this class deep. The only kid who looks like a sure thing is Lafreniere, as much as I think Raymond has unreal tools.

Let's just wait it out a bit before we start throwing around the term stacked. I hope they prove me wrong, but it seems every draft class gets the stacked statement around it when half the class is only 3 months into its first year in major junior.

Indeed.

This is why we have opinions. I believe the 2020 draft will be the best class since 2015.

Jamie Drysdale closing in 20 point marker, 2 points shy. He has played 26 games this season.
BTW. Erie Otters record this season: 13-17-1-0, last place in the Midwest Division, 4th worst record in the OHL.

Jamie has continued to produce, lately lots of primary apples, i'm thinking checking all of the Otters game highlights
and possibly making a Drysdale highlight video.

30 games, 2 goals, 20 assists, 22 points. -6 , 14 PIM , 55 SOG
- 4th place in Otters scoring

Erie Otters are 14-20-1-0 this season, last place in the Midwest Division, 3rd last in the entire OHL.

Marcel Barinka in Halifax is a forward but you might want to slot in 2020 dman Justin Barron 2 goals 19 assists who is wicked good and should get a look for the U-20 team next year

Barron is not a rookie thou... his rookie season was his last season.
- that top 10 list, was top 10 rookie d-men

Recorded his 25th point of the season, pp goal. (3-3 tying goal, late 3rd period goal)
- has recorded at least 1 point in 9 / 12 last games

1+2, 0+2, 0+1, 0+1, 0+1, 0+2, 0+1, 0+1, 1+0

His ppg is 0.73

17h place in the entire OHL d-men scoring, 11th in assist category.

In his own age group:

1st: Drysdale (Erie) 25 points (34 games)
2nd: O'Rourke (SOO) 14 points (34 games)
3rd: Sebrango (Kitchener) 11 points (33 games)
4th: Moore (Niagara) 10 points (28 games)
5th: Chayka (Guelph) 9 points (27 games)
6th: Thompson (Sudbury) 7 points (27 games)
7th: Murray (Kingston) 5 points (34 games)
8th: Callaghan (Missisauga) 5 points (38 games)
9th: Renwick (Hamilton) 3 points (18 games)
10th: Bianconi (Flint) 3 points (33 games)

After going 11 games with only 1 assist, Jamie has scored 3+3 in his last 8 games.
2018-2019 so far, 6+25=31 -18

Erie Otters have faced tough opponents lately, London twice, Niagara, Oshawa,Windsor,Hamilton
though they have played twice against Kitchener, but mostly his 6 points (3 against London)
have come against tough teams, that's a good sign.

When looking at his game by game, actually most of his points have come against tougher opponents,
vs Niagara: 1+4, vs London: 2+2, vs Saginaw: 0+3 vs Sarnia: 1+2, vs Ottawa: 0+2, vs Windsor: 0+2,
total 5+15=20 vs tougher opponents.

Sure...he is 1+6 vs Flint....but who hasn't scored tons of points against the worst team in the league this season?.

Gotta remember though, Erie Otters this season: 23-30-2-1, 3rd worst record in the OHL.

He’ll go in the top 10. I see no weaknesses in his game, but will NHL teams pick a 5’11 defensemen in the top five? I think he should be a 1OA candidate.
