Lmao what?Marner is the only leaf that plays with heart. I see him with the bruins next year.
I could give a $hit what Marner talks about on the ice with his opposition as far as we know it could of been a ploy to distract them. All I know for sure, is he's a world Class talent and I'd love him here in Boston, but then again you did want to trade Pasta too, so I guess no further explanation needed. lolLmao what?
He was publicly made fun of, by players nonetheless, for trying to talk to the opposing team about call of duty
During a playoff game
Yeah, chock full of heart lmao

I was calling for both dudes as well and got crapped onView attachment 990577
Been saying ont his site for weeks that if we trade Marchand and Coyle we have little in the way of experienced vets, which is bad. Everyone says get younger, but in reality, look at the teams on the left vs the right.
Good thing is, age comes cheaper than youth. I want Duchene real bad.
Also, Drouin might be cheap-ish with good upside as a winger and is older than our average yet not crusty.
My dream - Lindholm back to Calgary
Sign Ehlers over Boeser
The rest I’m not sure about
Maybe Chycrun?
Nay its ok, you really should keep them.Just hold up a gigantic sign saying I don’t understand how sports work
Why do you feel there has to be an order. I'do what ever option was available. They lost Carlo and Coyle, two players who are on the down side of their careers. Losing Marchand hurts the most the other two along with Tfred are very replaceable. Mittlestadt has better numbers today than Coyle does and he's having a down year. Picking up an Ehlers in Free -agency and adding a player via trade with using some of those assets, imo their right there. They're not at the stage where they should be in the major UFA market. They're not making all those draft picks, they have to convert those assets into a team before they'll even know what their needs are.
15 OR 16 Players away. They need everything. The next gm will have to do a little bit of everything: Sign ufa's draft well; trade one or two players...in hockey trades. I will admit ufa signings and parts of trades will very likely start at the bottom of the roster. They're not at the stage where they should be in the major UFA market. They're not making all those draft picks, they have to convert those assets into a team before they'll even know what their needs are.
They don't know what they have let alone what they don't have, other than having a 1RW and a 1D and not having a 1C. The trade market and next year's free agent class are better options there. Why do you feel there has to be an order. I'do what ever option was available. I'd just do what I could to hang on to those 2026 picks.
This! Dude would be awesome in Boston. Going to be a tough get with many teams going after him in the offseason.I could give a $hit what Marner talks about on the ice with his opposition as far as we know it could have been a ploy to distract them. Everything point out is correct My thinking is be in position, take advantage of an opportunity when it arises, if you are cap strapped, when a chance to get a big-time player is there you want to be able to take advantage, and not miss out because you are locked in with Swayman and Lindholm. Marner I have never been excited about, but you are not doing your job if you do not even consider him. We just went through a season of Swayman, and no competing with him in net, I said it when he signed, that you need players in front of him, but they had nothing left to put in front of him. I have no interest in a Brock Nelson, do not rush into a long term signing, like they did with Lindholm. The Lindholm signing was a panic signing in my mind.If you make the above moves you are still competing with 7 or so other teams who will have just as much cap space.
WHo are you going to spend all this money on? Are you giving Marner 15 million a year? Beyond that what? going to overpay for some players in their mid 30s, because nothing ever goes wrong with that. I guess we can give Marchy 7-9 million of that for a few years.
If you wave Lindholm to bring in what Brock nelson, so you are basically paying him the equivalent of 11 million for the next 5-6 years? (7 mil for his salary plus 4 mil for Lindholm buyout)??
And if you trade Swayman, what is your goaltending moving forward? Korpisalo, and DiPietro? No real chance of competing in the near future with that , so what is the pont
What are you willing to spend on Bennett, I am curious.Me personally? No. Im not a marner guy. I think theres a chance hes a losing player. Id rather sign bennett
How are you going to explain to Captain Pastrnak that you're paying Marner millions more than him? This! Dude would be awesome in Boston. Going to be a tough get with many teams going after him in the offseason.
What I recall is Marner playing PK PP and being a pain in arse for the bruins. Sound familiar????
We must live with our mistakes.Lindholm has a full NMC, he's not going anywhere
A. Players know how the business of signing UFAs works. How are you going to explain to Captain Pastrnak that you're paying Marner millions more than him?
Timing. Happens all the time. How are you going to explain to Captain Pastrnak that you're paying Marner millions more than him?

I cannot debate someone like you, you want to throw out shooting %,when he has 11 goals. I would prefer to use the old tried and true "eye test"I still don't think Lindholm was a mistake. If you look at his 5 full years in CGY, he was shooting at ~15%, but this year he shooting just 9% with the Bruins. While that doesn't seem like much, a shooting% of 15% on 121 SOG is 18 goals. That would put him on pace for ~50P over 82 games, which isn't a terrible first season considering its a new city and a new system. He's just shy of 55% in the dot which is great, and among Bruins he ranks 6th in blocks & 5th in hits.
Flipping Coyle for another middle six center and bringing in NHL level Carlo replacement makes me think they aren't looking for this to be a long term rebuild. I could see them flipping the Toronto pick with lysell etc for something this summer.I would pay Marner, he’s 26 and worth the money. Unfortunately I don’t know why he’d choose to sign with a rebuilding team like Boston.
I think Ehlers is more likely. I don’t consider Ehlers a second liner. He’s averaged nearly 30 goals and 65 points per 82 in his career. He averages 50 even strength points. He drives play. According to Jets fans, this is the first year he was on the first PP and he’s a point per game player.
