Looks like he gets another NHL start soon! Even better, the previously injured Lauko and Ivan will both be in the game. 4th line, 4th line and 3rd pair but it's still something.lol

New Jiricek thread. Let me be the one to say it: He needs to build strength and work on his skating. If he does he will be really good!

Okay continue.

He has his flaws, and things to work on, but he can do some special things, even at the NHL level. Would've had another goal today is not for a fantastic save by Blackwood. His assist today was terrific... i mean, anyone who can get Trenin to score deserves a medal.

It's too early to say right now, but i am getting visions of Brodin paired with Jiricek dancing in my head. Brodin would be the perfect guy to allow Jiricek to roam a bit, and do what he does best.

Seems to be going well. The goal last night was end to end. Tonight he skated into several players and looked very poised. When he takes this serious and learns to skate, watch out!

was impressed with him today. Don't like that as an Avs fan the Wild have Faber/Jiricek on the right side. Lucky our windows won't have much overlap

Had a vg game today. His skating when he has the puck is fine, and going forward in general. His pivots need work, but that's technique and a bit of strength. What is encouraging is to see that he is starting to process the NHL game better. It's easy to talk about the physical attributes of a player, but much harder to assess what goes on between the ears. The game looks like it's starting to slow down a bit for Jiricek.

Spurgeon and Brodin are still out, so he's not going down till they come back. The games will do nothing but good for him.

I'm a Wild fly by fan right now (I assume Jiricek heads back to Iowa when guys return) but their D pipeline is deep! When they get healthy they will be a big playoff problem for you and I (Oilers fan).

More than I expected to be honest. I was thinking 0 and full time AHL to play primo minutes. So this is a nice bonus until Spurgeon and Brodin are back.

My own fun theory is that he see that Prospects ranking last week and saw his brother was ranked higher than him and said 'hold my beer'.lol
