RD Chase Reid - Victory Honda, 15U AAA (2026 Draft)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

This is one of those guys that came out of nowhere and became a legitimate top talent in the blink of an eye. Doesn’t happen too often but love it when it does.

Kinda like a Mark Scheifele almost 15 years ago.
I get what you’re saying, but honestly he didn’t just get good overnight. Something happened for some reason why he didn’t get playing time for Waterloo and was left off the USA Hlinka team (probably as simple as USAH has no imagination and left him off because Waterloo wouldn’t play him), but he was on a team with Rombach, Fiddler, Kevan, Simpson and some of the better non-NTDP American 2007’s during summer 2023, and he was the best player for that group.

Tuned into the Soo vs Saginaw tilt to keep tabs on my new two favorite prospects, Reid and Martin. Reid was a force in all three zones. He looked like a 20 year old over-ager on the ice.

Mark my words, there is a high probability that you will see this kid patrolling a NHL blueline by the time he is 19.

Yeah, I almost wonder if the MSU/Soo discussion for 2026-27 becomes moot.

He's a late birthday and if he goes top 5 (even top 3-4), he might be playing in the NHL right after being drafted instead of college/OHL.

I think next season he'll play OHL. I'm sure he's good enough to play NCAA, but he was originally slated to play NCAA for 2026-27. He's only played like half a season of major junior. He probably doesn't need to rush into finding a higher level of hockey, even if he could take a step up.

Both have been exceptional the last month. Unreal that reid was, for lack of a better word, "discarded" by the ushl. His talent level, size, speed and iq is off the charts. What a blessing it was to have him report to the Soo.

Martin has been phenomenal all year. Consistently stripping pucks, cannon of a shot and a bull in the corners. Makes everyone around him better.

Hayes has really picked up his play as of late as well.
