He probably spells it Thilander even though the birth certificate says Tilander. Common occurance to spell your last name in a certain way for generations but never bother changing it officially.nope, I lost a bet. Then I had to change it from Thilander to Tilander because apparently it was originally spelled wrong lol
no he was almost 2016 eligibile..Shouldn't be eligible for the 2018 draft? I thought the cutoff was September 15th, he misses it by about 3 days?

Can any posters from Sweden chime in on this development?
Is he under contract with Skelleftea next season? Would he consider playing in NA to potentially improve his draft stock?
It sounds like he will head to North America for next year.
There's been tons of hype for him early and on here and elsewhere moreso than in Sweden I would almost say. He's a draft prospect but not one challenging the top D in Sweden like Liljegren and Brännström.
That would be one heck of a get for Stan Butler. Where are you hearing this?
Is he a 1st round talent? There was so much hype and now there is barely anyone talking about him.http://norran.se/hockeybloggen/klart-backtalangen-lamnar-aik-603349
Local paper in Skellefteå confirms that he will leavet the club, GM of the junior teams mentions North America but doesn't go into specifics.
I see he has lost weight and is now listed at 190, is he still a notable prospect?

Most likely the case of an oversized kid having the upper hand over his peers.
5'11" at 13, uh?
How has this guy looked in the OHL thus far? His numbers look decent. Any chance of going in the first round?
After being on the radar for so many years, he goes undrafted...
