I can't actually remember where it came from, so could be bullshit...

But supposedly the locker room is overwhelmingly sick of Def Rebel themes and most don't have the pull to reject a Def Rebel theme or get it changed.

Apparently Randy was pitched a new theme and outright said no. And AJ was able to get his switched back to his original.

I've seen this multiple times on reddit, but it's always from a less than reputable dirt sheet... but that said, I have also seen many times that Sheamus has been trying to get his OG theme back and that's been mentioned several times over the last year or so. I don't doubt the validity of it though, a lot of new themes just aren't good and often it's hard to tell who a person is immediately because it's al so generic and the guys/gals want the fans to know immediately that it's them for the pop.

Switching up Finn's music at the Royal Rumble so that you could hear a pin drop because nobody knew who the f*** it was was definitely a choice.

That’s what some of the feedback was when I listened to the postwrestling show. There’s too many entrances where they’re expecting a reaction and no one knows what the music is.

Yeah, admittedly I have not been watching a whole lot this past year, but so many of the themes just seemed so generic and similar nowadays. I finally got around to watching the RR last week, and for a large portion of the two rumbles I had to wait til the name flashed on the screen before I realized who it was

I don't even know Priest's music it seems like it changes on a month to month basis.

Seems like drama always surrounds Randy's theme music.

He notoriously hated and has mocked his original theme.
He once came out to Punk's theme and it got scrapped and later given to Punk, I think because Vince didn't think it fit Randy.
He had that infamous Wrestlemania Entrance where he was "Riding a sperm" down the ramp.
Now apparently has rejected a Def Rebel theme.

I guess that's where I question the validity of the story. Of all the people with all the themes, you wanted Randy Orton to go from one of the better wrestling themes to some generic Def Rebel bullshit?
