Apparently the hang up is Bobby Ryan. Ottawa wants them to take on his contract.
I could see him in Vegas. Don't they have Brannstrom? he can go the other way with picks and another prospect or two.

Everyone has to do their part to tank, fans too. f*** YOU ZEBRA.

Actually, that's also not true. If you have a team tiring you out in your zone and they take a stupid shot, your goalie can either cover it or they give up possession. I've seen this happen a bunch. An ill-advised shot deflects off the goalie into the crowd or out of the zone and allows for a change of possession or a change in lines.
An ill-advised shot deflects in and you get to change lines.

What would that deal look like? Ryan negates some value there.

Karlsson +Ryan for Brainstorm, Suzuki, Sbisa, 1st, 2nd?

If Sam mentions that Nick Jensen isn't the same player as Nicklas Jensen during the broadcast tonight, I am buying beers

It's the biggest trade of the year for the best defenseman in the league and it's a Canadian team. There's no way legitimate news wouldn't be reported by the TSN insiders first with all the connections they have to Ottawa.

It's almost like I'd take the chance (and so would just about everyone) on a shot saved 99.9% of the time versus the odd bounce that goes in. Especially when you have something more than a replacement-level goalie.

It's almost like I'd take the 0/100 chance that a non shot goes in.

I see a lot of rookie hesitancy, should I or shouldn't I from Pionk and he's doing quite well nevertheless. Once he's comfortable next year, he'll be great.

Watching the Rangers, it's amazing how far they really are from being a good team. On paper it doesn't seem that bad, but man are they hard to watch.

Some of it is a matter of where the holes are (center especially), and the fact that you have a lot of talent that we're projecting to be decent, but aren't there yet.

True, but even the guys we expect to be decent, Kreider notwithstanding, look like garbage. Maybe it's the deadline, the system whatever, but it's definitely making me rethink some of the upsides on these guys. I honestly expected alot more from Zibanejad, Buch, Skjei, especially, but they have been very dissapointing lately.
