That's literally untrue. There isn't a single coach on the planet that would agree with that. The job is to either prevent shots or push shots to low scoring areas. The idea that any shot is a bad shot is simply untrue. At some point you are going to rely on your goalie. You want to give him the easiest saves possible.
I don't know hwy you think that somehow any shot allowed is bad. That's just a weird, inaccurate look at the game.
