Honestly as a goalie when a guy wires it thru your Dmans legs it’s really tough to pick up. I actually don’t put that one on Hank.

OGara is awful

Not sure what management saw in O'Gara if they did pass up on another perhaps higher 3rd round pick + prospect/late pick
 
I did say on day 1 that O’Gara has zero NHL upside. I don’t know why anyone saw his inclusion in the Holden as anything more than a contract. He could be good for Hartford but he has no NHL future.
 
O’Gara did a good job forcing him to shoot from there, but he did an awful job screening Hank. Good positioning, bad defending.

Yeah, no. That was not some high scoring zone. It was the center of the circle. The idea that guys are not going to get shots off is kinda silly. Should've pressured him a bit more, but that shot is saved nine out of ten times (well, 49 out of 50, really).

Doesn't matter if he stops 49 out of 50. A defenseman's only job is to stop the other team from shooting and we just saw why.
 
Yeah, I'm not even remotely upset at O'Gara. He was purely a throw in who was expendable for Boston. A couple Bruins fans came in here talking him up and I think that's where it started.

He might someday be an NHLer, but the third round pick was the crux of that deal.

Eh, no. Just because Pionk was undrafted, doesn't mean the others are better. Pionk was the most coveted college FA last year. Left the NCAA after his sophomore year and is already playing in the NHL.
