but this is the thing…if he doesn’t get to around 40, doesn’t elevate sanheim play because sanheim has to cover (just playing the hypothetical) him…then why is he going to get 5+ mill. Savard can do that and got 3.5. It’s the tall and strength factor which is kinda dumb af. Let’s hope he can do it cus if he does then our defense can be impressive this yesr
Savard had no interest in Philly. Like many other free agents over the years. Unless a complete over pay

Well, we'll see. I'm just willing to see how it goes before jumping to conclusions.
Savard is 31 this year and is a possession black hole.
So that's not a high threshold.

So gms are stupid got it.

it was a yes or no question. I didn’t say drastically downgrade either.

so you really have no answer on why ghost has negative value. Or is it the all gms are dumb narrative you float around.

have a blessed day cliff

I gave you the answer, it's not my fault you're ignoring it.

I just said I’m giving him a chance guy lol.
Yes but at the same time you are saying that he´s already dragging Sanheim down etc. so..

I think giving a chance here means that you don´t say things that haven´t happened. . He hasn´t been dragging Sanheim down. Those things are pretty much determined on the regular season. We´re 2 games in of Risto. All I´m saying.

with what we are given on risto...he is currently draggin him down, yes. No one has ever seen risto elevate a player so we have to base our info on that. This is not to say he can never do it but what else are people supposed to say? I'm on the give him a chance side but I am also giving you reasons why people are upset...and its totally warranted. Most people have referred to the multiple 40 points as a mean os saying he can play well which isn't bad BUTTTTTTT he will never play 26 minutes, top pair usage, top pp usage, etc. He can get to 30 but I would rather him improve his overall defensive game than get the points. Both would be fantastic lmao

Ristolainen had a solid first couple games for us and so far that's all that matters to me. From what I've seen so far he and Sanheim seem to have decent chemistry.
Provy and Ellis look pretty good together as well and so have Yandle and Braun, so we might actually have three good D pairs this year.

It's kinda silly to start with the ITYS before we've even played a regular season game.
Plenty of time to tell us how smart you are once the season starts.

Positive in Pre season he is isn't near as awful as some said here and the top 4 actually look very good.

Fingers crossed

It's not a question that is answered with a simple yes or no. But I suspect you know that and this is all a banal "gotcha" attempt.
It is a simple yes or no question. I suspect you know the answer and just do not want to answer it.

Can we give it even 10 regular season games before we start the threads? I mean I love new threads as much as the next guy! Usually, give me new threads every day, twice a day, I say.

If you wanted Ristolainen to be a Hoggian disaster in 2 preseason games, he hasn’t been. There’s even been a few positive signs, although you can tell his processing speed is inconsistent. But it means jack shit after 2 preseason games. And there will be a whole lot of context to any evaluation — past, present, and (gulp) future.

I know right because like that's what he told me when we were hanging out one day he said I have absolutely no interest in Philly like many free agents who also don't like Philly either.

You know he's a thoroughly established and known player, right? And let's not hear about how Buffalo is a bad situation, because Philly isn't exactly a contender and Risto was the one dragging guys down, not being dragged.

Pretending he's going to suddenly become good isn't positivity, it's delusion. I hope you're right, but realistically...you aren't.
Two wildly different players and playing styles.
