Dahlin is practically a bust at this point. Supposed to be a Generational D and I wouldn't even put him in the top 20 this year. The C is a curse. Might as well trade him and get it out of the way.

What are you talking about? What kind of collapse did he have? He has 9 points in 13 games, +3, he played injured in half of those games, and he may still be playing. He doesn't even have any defensive partner next to him.
He is straight up dumb. Idiotic penalties all the time, did you see that one odd man rush scored against us where he was skating in no man's land? Idk how many more times I can watch this team butcher coverages on odd man rushes, its bush league. They are also excellent at not picking up the late player that enters the zone.

I disagree, he had a rough start for obvious reasons, but now he seems to be doing well.
These rushs happen all the time, our defense is too poorly designed, constant change of partners, a lot of left-handers, this problem is much deeper.
Tage God has a valid point about Dahlin being well below draft expectations

Tagegod called him "dumb" and "practically a bust." That's not a good take no matter how you spin it. In fact, it's a pretty "dumb" take.
I know folk are frustrated, but geesh.
Disagree on bust but disappointing? I think so, he's good offensively but disappears too much for my liking. He's ok defensively but again, nothing outstanding. He is FAR too lackadaisical for my liking and the team is a reflection of his lax nature. Not saying you need to go all out all the time, but play with some intensity once in a while. Not sure if he was the best choice for captain despite what everyone on the team has been saying. Seeing how Tage has evolved this season makes me think he should've been captain.

No he is not a bust in the traditional sense, just to expectations. He was supposed to be a Makar that is actually good on defense.

A man is judged by his actions, especially off the ice, he was chosen as captain for a reason. We also don't know about his physical condition, Ruff won't show all his cards. I think he was chosen as captain correctly and he deserved it. You are constantly looking for problems in the wrong places, but you make excuses for the idiot GM. The problem of the team is not Dahlin or the fact that he is captain, not the players, but the management.
