The Legend Continues
Our forwards and wing players are limited offensively. Siakam OG and Ibaka vs Horford Tatum and Brown.
Siakam and OG had higher offensive ratings than Tatum and Brown, OG had the highest eFG%.

Or maybe it is a good core and the coach failed to put them into a position to succeed? Casey was known for zone defence, and he hasn't been able to figure out how to combat the new era of ball.
So far, they have not proven that they can win. They wilt under pressure. This was their chance and they blew it.
And your point is?
This was their year and what did they do? Got **** on and embarrassed by a mediocre Cleveland team. What does that tell you about the players we have? It's not just coaching.
So you're saying our core played up to expectations and it's 100% on the coach? Our players don't need to take any responsibility? So Ibaka played great? Casey was the reason he was missing all those shots?
Also, if you watched, you would know our coaching staff tried different strategies against LeBron. We tried Zone, we tried the double, we tried Man. Casey does deserve blame but it's crazy to read people say it's 100% on him
Maybe put Poeltl in to guard Love? Maybe not allow LeBron to switch so easily and have Miles, DeRozan or even Lowry guarding him? Don't put JV or Miles on Love? Don't play zone with Love, LeBron, Smith, Korver, and Hill on the floor? Bench guys when they aren't shooting well and costing the team a chance to win? Don't wait until it's a 15-0 run to call a timeout? Actually draw a play out of the timeout? Do anything to frustrate LeBron? Marcus Morris was partly right, the Raps can't guard LeBron, but it's because of the personnel and schemes being utilized. The fact that anyone outside of OG and Siakam was man to man with him is a coaching error.
You didn't answer my question
So it was 100% on Casey that we got swept? All our players played up to expectations?

The players are most certainly culpable. To suggest otherwise would be heresy.
Right, because seeing people go through hoops to try and advocate full blown tanking is something we all certainly enjoy seeing.
I won't be doing that all season and then claiming to think of a different solution. We won't come to a common ground, so let's drop it.
Because it's a fool proof plan. How long should we tank before it finally works? It doesn't matter! It'll work, whether it takes 1, 2, 5, or 10 years!
Can't wait until we have a new coach, make the playoffs and then fail again. Then get to see people try to do mental gymnastics in here saying it isn't coaching but we need to "retool" and tweak.
This is pretty funny coming from you, that blamed the Leafs youngters struggles on Babcock(you know another coach)
The double standard is
The coach was a problem too for the Raps, but ignore that at your desire.
Strawman argument, nice. Comparing a sport that has 12 forwards, 6 D that cycle all game time versus a sport where 5 guys play a majority of the game time. Personnel management is way more important in hockey and how they're handled since they have more limited time on ice. We have seen what superstars do in the NBA. But continue deluding yourself about that.

Not really. There are a lot of potential factors. So the coach the raptors allegedly wanted picked Milwaukee over Toronto.
That tells a lot about how people are starting to see this franchise.
